| This light is located on the eastern end of Fox Island and marks the northwest point of Vinalhaven Island. The light was originally built in 1832 and replaced in 1857. The light is maintained by a U.S. Coast Guard family. The height above water of this light is 39 feet and the red lights range is 11 nautical miles while the white light has a range of 14 nautical miles. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
